Ian's Essential Tennis podcast will definitely help your game! He addresses
your individual questions about any aspect of tennis: equipment, technique,
strategy, cross-training, etc. He fosters a community-feel with his Q&A
format, and the tips that ended up helping me the most weren't even from my own
questions! I asked about strings, but what improved my game the most were
discussions on directionals and long relaxed stroke technique. Sometimes you
don't even realize what parts of your game may be lacking, so keep listening
because you don't know what you'll hear next. Thanks Ian!

I have been a student of Ian Westermann for approximately 18 months. As a student, I feel Ian has taken me from a person who 'hits tennis balls' to someone who plays tennis.
Ian's no nonsense approach to tennis, and his disciplined level of instruction has helped me to develop into a stronger player. Most importantly, my knowledge of the how and why of tennis has grown immeasurably.

I have taught tennis with Ian for about nine months now. I think that he is an excellent instructor at all playing levels. He is very meticulous in explaining each stroke to the student(s), and also takes the time to demonstrate to the student what he is explaining. The most important aspect during his lessons is that students are not only learning and improving, but they are also having fun. Ian makes it very enjoyable for them as well as for the other instructors. Ian is simply a great tennis coach and an even better person!

Thanks to one simple online post from Ian Westermann (aka Essential Tennis founder), I was able establish a steadier, more potent, and most importantly, a reproducible forehand. The advice was so obvious, but naturally as someone learning the game, it wasn't so obvious to me until someone more knowledgeable pointed it out. Thanks ET! I WILL phone home!!
