Cutie pie, Nicole Vaidisova, celebrated her 20th birthday yesterday. She was born April 23, 1989 in Nurnberg, Germany and currently resides in Prague, Czech Republic.
Vaidisova has played tennis since she was six years old. She turned pro in 2003, and in 2006, at the age of 17 years, three months, and two weeks, she became the 12th youngest player in WTA Tour history to be ranked in the Top Ten. She achieved her highest singles ranking of No. 7 on May 14, 2007.
Vaidisova’s best showing in the Grand Slams thus far has been the Semifinals of Roland Garros in 2006 and in the Australian Open in 2007.
Lovely cutie pie, Daniela Hantuchova, celebrated her 26th birthday yesterday. She was born April 23, 1983 in Poprad, Slovakia. She currently resides in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Hantuchova was born to father, Igor, a computer scientist and mother, Marianna, a toxicologist. She turned pro in 1999 at the age of 16. She is currently ranked 40 in the world. Her career high singes ranking was No. 5 in January 27, 2003. Her best showing in the Grand Slams was the Semifinals of the Australian Open in 2008.
Sexy cutie pie, Maria Kirilenko of Russia reached the Final of the WTA Barcelona Ladies Open held April 13-19, 2009 in Barcelona, Spain.
Kirilenko’s first two matches went just two sets, with wins over Camille Pin (6-2, 6-0), and Severine Bremond (7-5, 6-2). The next two matches proved to be a little tougher, but Kirilenko came out on top against Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez (6-1, 3-6, 6-0) in the Quarterfinals, and Carla Suarez-Navarro in the Semifinals (4-6, 6-1, 6-2).
Cutie pie, Caroline Wozniacki, of Denmark reached the Final of the 2009 WTA Tour Family Circle Cup played April 13-19 at Charleston, South Carolina, USA. She was defeated in the championship match by Sabine Lusicki.
Wozniacki breezed through her first three rounds with wins over Alla Kudryavtseva 6-3, 6-3, Shuai Peng 6-3, 6-4, and Virginie Razzano 6-2, 6-0. In the Semifinals, she ran up against another featured cutie pie, No. 3 ranked Elena Dementieva of Russia. It was a good, close match going three sets. Wozniacki, ranked No. 11, prevailed 6-4, 5-7, 7-5.
Russian cutie pie, Maria Sharapova, is celebrating her 22nd birthday today. She was born in Nyagan, Russia on April 19, 1987. She currently resides in Bradenton, Florida.
Unfortunately she isn’t celebrating her birthday on the tennis court as she continues to deal with a shoulder injury. She has not played any singles in any tournaments this year, and tried just one doubles match, which she and her partner lost. Her ranking has dropped to 64 since she hasn’t been playing. She still hopes to get back to playing tournaments. She had hoped to play in Miami, but that didn’t happen.
Sexy cutie pie, Serena Williams, went down hard in the opening round of the WTA Andalucia Tennis Experience played April 6-12, 2009 in Marbella, Spain. Her opponent saw through William’s game plan just as we can see through her skimpy blouse in this photo.
After making it to the Finals in the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami Florida, USA recently (where she lost to Victoria Azarenka 6-3, 1-6), Williams couldn’t make it through round one in Marbella. She should have made it more of a match since she was playing against No. 92. Klara Zakopalova of the Czech Republic was up to the task and sent Williams packing for a quick trip home.
Serbian cutie pie, Jelena Jankovic, is finally smiling as she holds her first trophy of the year after defeating Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain 6-3 3-6 6-3 at the Andalucia Tennis Championships in Marbella, Spain, on April 12 2009. No wonder she is smiling. This is the first time she even made it to a Final match this year. It took two 3-set matches and a big scare in the Quarterfinals, but the world No. 4 ranked Jankovic finally got the job done.
Jankovic breezed through her first two matches winning 6-2, 6-1 over No. 44 ranked Francesca Schiavone of Italy, and 6-3, 6-0 over No. 174 ranked Selima Sfar of Tunisia.

World No. 12 ranked Wozniacki needed three sets to get past her opening round opponent, No. 31 ranked Samantha Stosur of Australia. She lost a tie-break in the 2nd set, but eventually came out on top 6-3, 6-7(4-7), 6-1.
Wozniacki’s next opponent was No. 42 ranked Virginie Razzano of France. Wozniacki was the victor in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5. The Quarterfinal match was an easy 2-set victory over another featured cutie pie, No. 40 ranked Daniela Hantuchova, of Slovakia, 6-2, 6-2.
Cutie pie, Serena Williams, of the USA, reached the Finals of the 2009 WTA Sony Ericsson Open in Miami Florida, USA. The World No. 1 ranked player defeated her sister, No. 5 ranked Venus Williams, in a close 3-set Semifinal match, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 to earn a berth in the championship match scheduled for April 4, 2009.
The Final match pitted Serena against No. 8 ranked Victoria Azarenka of Belarus. Serena faded in this match losing in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.
No. 1 ranked cutie pie, Serena Williams, of the USA will face her sister, No. 6 ranked Venus Williams, in the Semifinals of the WTA Sony Ericsson Open in progress at Miami, Florida March 25 – April 5, 2009.
In reaching the Semifinals, Serena Williams had two 2-set matches in the opening rounds followed by two 3-set matches in the next two rounds.
Williams had a BYE into the 2nd round where she defeated fellow country woman, No. 124 ranked Alexa Glatch of the USA quite easily, 6-2, 6-3. Her next victim was No. 34 ranked, Shuai Peng of China, 7-5, 6-2.
