Happy birthday to Danish tennis cutie pie, Caroline Wozniacki, who turns 19 today.

Caroline Wozniacki was born July 11, 1990 in Odense, Denmark. She turned pro July 18, 2005 at the ripe old age of 15. She has already had an outstanding career with five WTA Tour singles titles, and two double titles. Her singles career win/loss record is 151-62. She is currently ranked 9th in the world.

She has made the 4th round in three Grand Slams already, including Wimbledon this year. It shouldn’t be long and she will be breaking into the winning bracket of one of those majors.

Happy Birthday Ashley Harkleroad

Tennis cutie pie, Ashley Harkleroad, celebrated her 24th birthday on May 2, 2009. She was born May 2, 1985 in Rossville, GA, USA and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, USA. So what has Ashley been up to since her last birthday?

Well, on March 25, 2009 she had her first child, a boy named Charles Hooper Adams the 4th. That took her out of tennis for a while, but according to Ashley Harkleroad’s website, she is now getting ready for her comeback and the US Open by the end of August. Harkleroad’s fitness trainer says Ashley will follow a strict workout program that will take her “from having a baby to serving aces in 91 days.” Part of this plan includes lots of vegetables and fruits, workouts with weights that target biceps and triceps, cardio, core exercises, and getting on the court at least five times a week for 1 1/2 hours a day.

Happy Birthday Nicole Vaidisova

Cutie pie, Nicole Vaidisova, celebrated her 20th birthday yesterday. She was born April 23, 1989 in Nurnberg, Germany and currently resides in Prague, Czech Republic.

Vaidisova has played tennis since she was six years old. She turned pro in 2003, and in 2006, at the age of 17 years, three months, and two weeks, she became the 12th youngest player in WTA Tour history to be ranked in the Top Ten. She achieved her highest singles ranking of No. 7 on May 14, 2007.

Vaidisova’s best showing in the Grand Slams thus far has been the Semifinals of Roland Garros in 2006 and in the Australian Open in 2007.

Happy Birthday Daniela Hantuchova

Lovely cutie pie, Daniela Hantuchova, celebrated her 26th birthday yesterday. She was born April 23, 1983 in Poprad, Slovakia. She currently resides in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Hantuchova was born to father, Igor, a computer scientist and mother, Marianna, a toxicologist. She turned pro in 1999 at the age of 16. She is currently ranked 40 in the world. Her career high singes ranking was No. 5 in January 27, 2003. Her best showing in the Grand Slams was the Semifinals of the Australian Open in 2008.

Happy Birthday Maria Sharapova

Russian cutie pie, Maria Sharapova, is celebrating her 22nd birthday today. She was born in Nyagan, Russia on April 19, 1987. She currently resides in Bradenton, Florida.

Unfortunately she isn’t celebrating her birthday on the tennis court as she continues to deal with a shoulder injury. She has not played any singles in any tournaments this year, and tried just one doubles match, which she and her partner lost. Her ranking has dropped to 64 since she hasn’t been playing. She still hopes to get back to playing tournaments. She had hoped to play in Miami, but that didn’t happen.

Happy Birthday Anna Chakvetadze

Russian tennis cutie pie, Anna Chakvetadze, turns 22 today. She was born March 5, 1987 in Moscow, Russia where she still resides.

Chakvetadze is pictured here during her win over No. 130 ranked Zi Yan of China, 6-1 6-2, which helped lead Russia over China in the first round of the 2009 Fed Cup.

Chakvetadze is currently ranked No. 24 on the WTA Tour. Her career-high singles ranking has been No. 5 on September 10, 2007. That was the year she did her best in the Grand Slams, reaching the Quarterfinals of the Australian Open and Roland Garros, and the Semifinals of the US Open. She has never won a Grand Slam.

Happy Birthday Patty Schnyder

Happy birthday to Swiss tennis cutie pie, Patty Schnyder, who was born Dec. 14, 1978 in Basel, Switzerland. That means she is turning the big 30!

Schnyder ended the year ranked # 14 in singles, and 50 in doubles. She had one Sony Ericsson WTA Tour singles title and one doubles title in 2008. That brings her career total to eleven singles and five doubles titles, with earnings at about $7.5 million. If no one is throwing her a 30th birthday party, she should be able to afford to go out and celebrate with her family.

Ivanovic celebrates her 21st birthday

Serbian cutie pie, Ana Ivanovic celebrates her 21st birthday with a piece of birthday cake. Ivanovic was at the 2008 WTA Sony Ericsson Tour Championships in Doha, Qatar at the time.

Ivanovic has a smile on her face while celebrating her birthday, but it was not a good tournament for her. She lost all three of her round robin matches leaving her out of the final four.

Her round robin losses were to fellow Serbian, world No. 1 Jelena Jankovic 3-6, 4-6. No. 10 Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland, 2-6, 5-7, and No. 7 ranked Vera Zvonareva of Russia, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 4-6.

Happy Birthday Ana Ivanovic

Happy Birthday to sexy, tennis cutie pie, Ana Ivanovic. She turns 21 today. In Nebraska, USA, where I live, she could now go to a bar and have a drink to celebrate. In Serbia, where she was born, 18 is considered the legal age for drinking. Her residence is listed as Basel, Switzerland. Switzerland prohibits minors from buying alcohol, but there is no age restriction for the consumption of alcohol. Wine, beer and ciders as well as some other party drinks can be purchased by the age of 16. Spirits as well as alcopops can be sold only to people above the age of 18. So I’m sure if Ivanovic has a drink for her birthday, it will not be her first.

Happy Birthday to Elena Dementieva who turns 27 today. She was born in Moscow, Russia, Oct. 15, 1981, and turned pro Aug. 25, 1998 at the age of 16. So far in her career, she has 10 career WTA Tour singles titles, 6 WTA Tour doubles titles, 3 ITF Women’s Circuit singles titles, and 3 ITF Women’s Circuit doubles titles, along with being a gold medalist at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. She is currently ranked No. 5 in the world.
