Hi there, good info to hear!
Would you advise this same concept of a "top a spin drive" on a ball that has actually BOUNCED and sits up high i.e. a floaty defensive type ball falling mid court? Or apply more of the "flat pure drive" given there is enough time to shuffle feet properly into position to hit the shot?
Many thanks!
Many thanks for sharing your experience!
Great demonstration, greatinstruction
Thanks as always Ian et al. I very much value your contribution over the years.
Topspin volley instead of a 'drive' volley? Very good call.
Uniqlo instead of Nike? Well why not.
Pro Staff Classic 6.1 instead of your usual PS90? Best call. That is one of the great racquets of all time both balance-wise and feeling-wise.
What are the rules of thumb for when to hit a drive volley vs a traditional volley?
Great demo with the C cam. Never thought of looking at what's visible on the other side that way, totally makes sense. Good insight, Ian – thanks!
What type of grip is Ira using to hit his topspin volley. Is a topspin volley a swinging volley?
Thanks guys.
You're welcome!
Love the drive spin volley concept
Another excellent tip. Thanks!
great Demo & explanation!
Thanks very much, Ian. Very clear and helpful.
You're very welcome, Lewis.
Best shot to neutralize pusher's lobb in combination with short angles crosscourts IMHO
Yup, it's a great option for that!

Good to hear.
Is that C-Cam Newton that you were using? Does it do the dab?
Haha…
