Here are today’s results from Stockholm.

  • Monfils d. Anderson 75 75
  • Raonic d Dimitrov 75 64
  • Nieminen d Kame 36 75 61
  • Blake d Nalbandian w/o

The semis put Monfils against Raonic.  Again, a good opportunity for Raonic to get to another final, but Monfils should be favored.  Then Blake gets a break and doesn’t have to play Nalbandian.  Also, a good opportunity for Blake or Nieminen to reach the finals.  Blake leads the head-to-head 6-1.  However, the one win by Nieminen came last year at Stockholm.  Blake is playing a bit better, so this should be close.

In Moscow, the quarterfinal results were:

  • Tipsarevic d Tursunov 64 62
  • Davydenko d Berrer 63 62
  • Chardy d Kohlschreiber 63 63
  • Troicki d Bogomolov 76 67 76

Bogomolov really gave Troicki a lot of trouble.  There may be a question of fatigue.  The semis are Tipsarevic vs Davydenko.  Davydenko is the last Russian in the tournament.  He seems to be playing better.  Davydenko leads the head-to-head 2-1.  They met recently in Kuala Lumpur where Davydenko had to retire after a few games.  If he’s healthy, I think Davydenko has a reasonable shot at beating Tipsarevic.  I would slight favor Chardy over Troicki mostly because he played a quicker match and Troicki played a very long match.
